Tampere in Finland is in the final for the European Capital of Innovation Award 2017 with a proposal based on a city co-creation model, Grow-Smart-Together. Helsinki is also in the final ten.
Tampere’s project submission involves collaboration between citizens, companies, universities, communities and city administrators to develop the city together with a smart and human-centred development environment.
The other finalists (out of 32 cities) are Aarhus, Berlin, Copenhagen, Nice, Paris, Tallinn, Tel Aviv and Toulouse.
